The Ruhaniat is blessed by the generous service of many volunteers who are involved in a wide array of activities ranging from website and tech support, to the Board of Trustees, the Murshids' Circle, and many councils and committees. We are enriched by their talents and expertise and grateful to them all. Ya Shakur!
The first Sammy Award was handmade by Fazl Olivier (photo at right) in honor of Pir Shabda Kahn's 60th birthday on September 3, 2007. The delight of receiving this creative gift inspired Pir Shabda to begin a tradition of naming a Sammy Award recipient each year. It is presented to a person (and sometimes more than one person) who has given extraordinary and long-standing service to the Ruhaniat community.
Our Sammy Award recipients hold a special place of honor and recognition in our communal heart. Ya Fattah! upon their lives and service!
