Hail to the Land of the Rising Sun!
When the sun rose in the East and set in the West came the Wisdom of the Orient;
When the sun rose in the South and set in the North came the Wisdom of India;
When the sun rose in the West and set in the East came the Wisdom of the West..
All the Wisdoms of the ten directions,
And all the Wisdoms of the times, in harmonious synthesis.
Hail to the Land of Purified Nature—
Nature taken backward in time by man at Ruanji …
Nature left in pristine purity by man at Katsura        
Nature carried forward to perfection by man at Nagoya …
The past and the present and the future are One.
Thus, the spirit of Yamato.
